Committees

Just like any association, Hydrofiel cannot exist without its active members. Throughout the year, our active members enthusiastically contribute to the association in various ways. They join different committees that organize tournaments, activities, or parties. Are you interested in joining one of the committees? Then send an email to bestuur@hydrofiel.nl! At the beginning of each year, the committees are filled again, and there is a spot in all of them. If you became a member later or if you decide after a few months that you want to become active, ask a board member which committees still have an available spot!

Here is a list of the many committees that Hydrofiel has:

Advisory committee

The advisory committee consists of 2 or 4 people. The members of the advisory committee receive the minutes of the board meetings and advise the board on various matters. The main goal of the advisory committee is to support the board in making administrative decisions.

Audit committee

The kascontrole committee is generally filled by former treasurers. Who perform a controlling function for the current treasurer.

Activity committee

The activities committee is often one of the largest committees. As the name suggests, they organize monthly activities that many Hydrofiel members enthusiastically participate in. Examples of activities include bowling, lasergamen, a beer cantus, game night, you name it! Hydrofiel also goes on a Hydrofiel weekend every year, which always creates fantastic memories.

Batavieren committee

The Batavierenrace is the world's largest relay race, where students from all over the Netherlands run in relay form from Nijmegen to Enschede. The Batavieren Committee ensures a well-filled team of runners who, through organized running training, achieve a good performance every year.

Bep committee

Four to five times a year, the Bep Committee publishes the association's magazine, which is filled with reports of activities, photos, quotes, fun facts, interviews with Hydrofiel members, and other cool stuff. Reading or writing the Bep will surely put a big smile on your face.

Goffert committee

One of Hydrofiel's prides is the Goffert tournament, organized by the Goffert Committee and held in May or June. Every year, more than 30 teams participate in the Goffert tournament, which takes place in the beautiful Goffertbad in Nijmegen.

NSZK committee

Once every two years, the most beautiful tournament in the Netherlands comes to Nijmegen, the NSZK. This committee takes care of everything surrounding our NSZK: the pool, the food, the party location, and the sleeping places.

NSWK committee

Once every 2 years, we organize the NSWK in Nijmegen. The NSWK is a water polo tournament that we at Hydrofiel love to participate in. This committee takes care of everything surrounding our NSWK: the pool, the food, the party location, and the sleeping accommodations

Sponsor committee

This committee is involved in finding sponsors for Hydrofiel. They also ensure that these sponsors are retained, and the members of this committee serve as the contact persons for all our sponsors

Merchandise committee

This committee is responsible for designing and creating new merchandise. Last year, Hydrofiel expanded its merchandise with all sorts of beautiful items. In the coming year, there will be even more new merchandise added.

PR committee

This committee is responsible for the socials, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc. They also handle updating and refreshing the website. Additionally, they are involved in recruiting new members every year. During the introduction week, they are present at the introduction markets of both HAN and Radboud University, and they organize various activities, including parties, the RU sports day, etc. Lastly, this committee is responsible for recruiting and retaining new members and creating awareness among the students of Nijmegen

Lustrum committee

In the Lustrum year, the Lustrum committee is responsible for organizing various activities to celebrate Hydrofiel's Lustrum. This committee is only active during a Lustrum year
